Client Testimonial

"We're keen to make this webcast as engaging and informative as possible. Being able to stream live into Facebook and offer customers the chance to submit questions were key factors."

The Brief

Groovy Gecko partnered with dot.Talent to help them to deliver a series of interactive on-line web programmes into Facebook. The brief required Groovy Gecko to integrate the video component into the Littlewoods Live Facebook app and ensure it gave a high quality user experience to match the rest of the Facebook page.

The Challenge

The key challenge of the broadcast was to deliver a very strong basis for viewer interaction by delivering the video content seamlessly into the application across multiple types of device.

Our Approach

Throughout the series of webcast, Groovy Gecko have helped dot.Talent produce the very highest quality webcasts by both encoding for multiple devices and integrating seamlessly with their Facebook application. To ensure a great user experience we deployed our multi-stage management process so that the application kept the user informed at all times what was happening. This included a pre-live stage when accessing the app it would keep users informed about when the programme would start and a off-air stage when the programme had finished but was still yet to be put on-demand.

This staging meant that the video webcast matched the Facebook app for its clarity of experience meaning that even the most inexperienced user could use it with ease.
