Groovy Gecko at the Tech for Marketing Expo
Last week, Groovy Gecko visited the Technology for Marketing exhibition in London. Every year the event showcases the best in new tech solutions for marketing, ranging from digital platforms and software for CRM, to virtual reality goggles. The exhibition is always a good way for us to reconnect with old contacts and make new ones. At this year’s expo we met some great people and potential collaborators, and were particularly intrigued by the some of the augmented reality demonstrations.
Events like this are very important because live video has become a significant marketing tool which many organisations are taking advantage of and want to know more about. As specialists in this area, we’re seeing some great uses of the medium by big brands, including streams to launch events, interactive Q&A sessions and product tutorial style videos etc. It’s never been easier for marketers to use live video to their advantage, in part due to cost effective technology like our own Self-Managed Live Presentation System, and social media platforms like Facebook which are constantly improving their live functionality.
The beauty of hosting live streams on social media platforms like Facebook is the opportunity to grow audiences, not only for live video, but the page in general. Live video, in its many forms, is an effective marketing technique capable of generating more meaningful engagement from viewers and stronger brand-audience relationships.
