Groovy Gecko Started a Revolution with Jamie Oliver

Posted on: May 31, 2016

London, 31st May 2016 – Groovy Gecko streamed Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution live into Facebook last week (20th May).

The Food Revolution is a worldwide initiative being spearheaded by celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver. With 41 million children under the age of five overweight or obese, it aims to provoke debate and inspire real, meaningful, positive change in the way children access, consume, and understand food.

On 20th May, Groovy Gecko streamed a series of live broadcasts from around the globe into Jamie Oliver’s Facebook page. The broadcasts included cooking demonstrations from chefs in different locations around the world, showing healthy nutritious food.

“We were delighted to be a part of such an important initiative,” commented Jake Ward, Groovy Gecko. “Social media is an extremely powerful tool for reaching large global audiences. Couple that with engaging video content and the result can be extremely effective.”
