| Streaming-only service introduced by LOVEFiLM |

LOVEFiLM has announced the launch of a new streaming-only content delivery service in the UK, for an initial price of £4.99 per month.
The new package complements the company's main offering, which provides streaming alongside its standard DVD-by-post service, and has been made available immediately. It allows users to stream unlimited film and TV content to their PCs, web TVs, PlayStation 3, iPads or Xbox 360s and is intended as a lower-cost alternative to the central package. Jim Buckle, chief operating officer at LOVEFiLM, said: "There's still a little bit of smoothing out work left to do on the website, but the streaming-only package is live and available and we figured that was the most important thing." This follows the recent announcement that the company is switching its streaming technology from Adobe Flash to Microsoft Silverlight for security reasons.
