Firms will have a new option when it comes to broadcasting their live webcasts to the outside world. Accordent Technologies has upgraded its enterprise webcasting platform which operates with the Akamai platform for live webcasts. The Accordent Media Management System (AMMS) works with Akamai's Secure Streaming technology and ensures that computer users outside a corporate network can log on using an authentication process and view a webcast. Unauthorised users attempting to gain access to a webcast will be guarded against by the solution. Accordent Technologies expects the solution to benefit travelling sales executives and other potential viewers outside the workplace. Tim Napoleon, Akamai's chief strategist of media and entertainment, commented: "Getting to your global workforce, home office employees and partners historically was a massive undertaking. "This solution makes it as easy for personnel to participate in a live or on demand broadcast regardless if it is a public or private event." ![]() |
