Radio station Last FM has launched a new and improved streaming service on its website. The refurbished site, which offers streaming audio content, now includes a new listening page and an expanded metadata area which features a selection of images uploaded by Last FM's online community. Web-based listeners now also have the chance to pick up to three artists or music categories and mix them together for a more multi-genre musical experience. In addition, the site's recent stations category now features a much more extensive list which means web users can choose from a more comprehensive variety and remove the stations they don't like. Last FM's overhaul has created a number of slots for advertisers and sponsors, which may prove lucrative for the company. However, the new site has experienced a few teething problems but said that it is working hard to iron out any issues. Writing on the radio's blog, Last FM's Matthew Ogle, commented: "As with any shiny new product, there are bound to be some release day glitches - please bear with us as we squash bugs." ![]() |
