Online video search engine Blinkx has announced that it has signed a new technology integration agreement with interactive service provider Miniweb. As part of the new deal, Miniweb will make use of Blinkx's software for video search, syndication, targeting and personalisation as part of its online services platform, which will allow users to access a wide range of online video content on Blinkx. Users will also have the chance to access broadcast television content on Blinkx using Miniweb-enabled devices that are connected to broadband services. Suranga Chandratillake, founder and chief executive of Blinkx, said: "Combining broadcast and broadband TV will provide audiences with access to an incredibly rich and diverse universe of video content. "As the leader in video search, Blinkx is ideally suited to help viewers navigate this universe, both through search and through recommendations." Blinkx also recently announced a partnership with Gumball 3000, as part of which dozens of clips from the annual Gumball 3000 Rally will be made available on Blinkx.com. ![]() |
