| Conexant announces streaming-enabled Soc solutions |

Multimedia firm Conexant Systems has announced the launch of a series of system-on-chip (SoC) solutions which support a wide range of streaming content. The first of these solutions, the CX92735, is targeted at the market for interactive display appliances and digital photo frames, and supports streaming media content, Wi-Fi and MP3 audio playback. In addition, the CX92735 supports Bluetooth, ethernet connectivity and slideshow connectivity, integrating the web with touch-screen technology. The interactive display appliances and connected photoframes can be used in a wide range of video, audio, telephony and digital signage applications. "We have expertise in analogue and mixed-signal design, firmware and software development and in-depth applications," commented Christian Scherp, president of Conexant. He added that the firm will continue to leverage these strengths and exploit various growth opportunities in the multimedia industry. Conexant recently announced that it has been included in the Russell Microcap Index, a list of 2,000 small cap and micro cap stocks of the smallest 1,000 companies in the Russell 2000 plus 1,000 smaller US-based listed stocks. ![]() |
