The internet revolution could mean that free movies are soon to be a reality thanks to improving online streaming capabilities, it has been suggested. According to the Daily Mail's Technology section, the MSN Video Player is one of the most exciting developments in this sector, as it extends the reach of the BBC iPlayer, which only allows users to catch up on the last week of TV. However, the newspaper does note some barriers to the wide-spread adoption of watching TV and free films online - namely that families will not want to gather around a computer screen in the evenings. It foresees that products that allow computers to be hooked up to TVs will become more popular and recommends several items currently on the market. The Guardian revealed earlier this month that the MSN Video player had attracted 170,000 show views in its first 11 days of going live. ![]() |
