Streaming video content is a good way to make email marketing stand out from the crowd, an expert has said. Industry specialist Diane Forster advised marketers to incorporate streaming videos into their marketing campaigns because the novelty is likely to attract the attention of consumers. Writing on Promotion World, she suggested that as well as streaming video content, e-gift cards and animated gifs can also be integrated into email messages to improve their effectiveness. "The use of animated gifs in emails is beginning to become more popular as the compatibility and technology gets better and it is a great way of standing out from the crowd," Ms Forster said. A recent study from Reportlinker.com and In-Stat found that the popularity of online streaming videos is expected to rise significantly over the next few years. The report also found that a wider range of age groups and demographics are expected to watch streaming videos over the coming years due to an ageing population and more word-of-mouth recommendations. ![]() |
