A growing number of universities and business schools are making lectures publicly available via streaming video sites. According to a report from CNN, leading establishments such as the Yale School of Management and the University of Cambridge Judge Business School are making course content available on sites such as YouTube and iTunes University. This allows users to be able to experience an MBA lecture without having to leave the comfort of their own homes or fork out large amounts for tuition fees. HEC Paris, a business school in France, is set to launch its iTunes University content within the next few months as part of a deal with Apple, which will see all new MBAs at the institution provided with an iPod Touch. Vanessa Klein, HEC's project manager for iTunes, told CNN: "It's a good marketing tool, not as publicity but to really show people what we are providing. You can watch a lecture [and] learn a lot." Writing on Promotion World, industry specialist Diane Forster recently said streaming content is a good way to improve a marketing campaign. ![]() |
