The Online Video Platform Summit is scheduled to take place later this month, organisers have announced. Forming part of the annual Streaming Media West Conference & Expo, the summit kicks off on November 17th in San Jose and will feature the latest developments in the streaming media technology. The event is aimed at content owners and video publishers, who will be able to liaise with a number of industry experts and develop their knowledge of how best to use online streaming video. A number of high-profile companies will be in attendance including Delve Networks, Kaltura, Multicast Media, Sorenson Media, AdapTV, Adobe and Akamai. Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, co-chair of the event, said: "The summit will offer a unique opportunity for both media companies and organisations to learn about how to take advantage of online video platforms in their day-to-day communications efforts." A recent study from Reportlinker.com and In-Stat predicts that 90 per cent of households in the US will have access to broadband internet by 2012. ![]() |
