More than three-quarters of marketers incorporate streaming videos into their marketing activities, a new survey reveals. According to a study by TurnHere, 83.5 per cent of brand and agency marketers use some form of streaming video in their marketing campaigns, with most expecting to increase their use of the medium in the coming years. More than half (57.3 per cent) of respondents said they have created branded streaming video content for the internet, while 38.7 per cent have devised editorial streaming video material. The most popular reasons marketers cited for using streaming video are for branding (60 per cent), gaining exposure on video sites such as YouTube (54.7 per cent) and creating viral content (48 per cent). Bud Rosenthal, chief executive of TurnHere, said: "Online video is the number one priority among all online marketing tools for 2010 and that finding directly ties into the high satisfaction levels for video implementation and its return on investment." A streaming video ad campaign for Volkswagen was recently named by Goviral as the most innovative and interesting in October this year. ![]() |
