Incorporating online streaming video into an integrated marketing campaign is one of the best ways of achieving success, an expert has suggested. Shaun Ryan, chief executive of SLI Systems, said combining streaming videos with user generated reviews can dramatically improve results compared to when these applications are used in a "siloed" approach. He explained that in today's extremely competitive selling environment, online retailers will be able to secure more sales and increased business when they integrate their various applications. Mr Ryan added that a more multidimensional approach will also result in much more meaningful engagements with customers. The recent 2009 E-Commerce Customer Experience Survey released by SLI Systems found that just over half (55 per cent) of companies integrate different applications in order to boost their marketing efforts and to improve the experience of their users. However, around 42 per cent of the survey's respondents said they are not integrating data across various applications. ![]() |
