Warner Music Group has signed a new deal with streaming video site Hulu which will see the record company provide music videos to the portal. Under the deal, live concert performances, artist interviews and other entertainment material will also be provided to Hulu. Warner, whose music labels include Atlantic Records, Rhino Records and Warner Bros Records, said in addition, web surfers will be able to watch channels and artist pages on the Hulu website. Michael Nash, executive vice-president of Warner Music, said in a statement that the move is aimed at expanding the company's video offerings. "We're pleased to be working with Hulu as we expand our premium ad-supported video strategy to provide our artists with a customised and flexible approach to marketing and monetising their music," he said. Warner recently announced the launch of a major video on-demand push across Europe, which will see the studio's films made available to consumers in the UK, France and Germany on the same day they are released on DVD. ![]() |
