| NBC to stream Vancouver Olympic Games |

Broadcaster NBC Universal has announced that it plans to stream live action from the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.
The network said around 835 hours' worth of content will be streamed across six platforms - NBC, USA Network, MSNBC, CNBC, Universal HD and NBCOlympics.com, reports Sports Business Daily. NBC's Olympics Online Connect service will allow viewers who pay for TV services to have access to a host of live Olympic streaming events and replays, giving them a front-row seat experience in their own homes. The streaming services will be available to all of Time Warner Cable's video customers of who subscribe to at least an expanded basic package, which includes CNBC and MSNBC channels. In order to log in to the Olympics Online Connect service, Time Warner Cable customers will be required to create specific usernames and passwords. NBC recently revealed that it will team up with Cisco to allow consumers to access play-on-demand video coverage of the Olympic Games on their mobile devices. ![]() |
