An expert has welcomed the arrival of streaming content aggregator SeeSaw as a positive industry development.
Jamie Estrin, managing director of Web TV Enterprise, said the service is sure to deliver great benefits for the online advertising industry. "Primarily it offers TV advertisers incremental reach to their campaign," he said. "It delivers advertisers to light TV viewers; the internet is full of users who are not partial to watching a lot of TV." Mr Estrin said that he believes the UK will be an ideal environment for SeeSaw's in-stream online advertising model because users are comfortable with being served advertising around free streaming content. He warned however, that if video owners are willing to licence their content all over the web like some music owners, then that will potentially reduce the value of their material. A recent study carried out that Nielsen found that consumers' willingness to pay for online streaming content is based on issues of quality. Live Hosting www.groovygecko.com ![]() |
