Online video advertising is experiencing increasing growth rates, an expert has revealed.
Jamie Estrin, managing director of Web TV Enterprise, explained that in advertising there are often seasonal dips, especially during July and August, but online video is experiencing continued growth and each quarter the line is going in an upward curve. He pointed out that many consumers, especially young people, do not expect to pay for content because they have grown up with the internet. The 16-24 demographic that wants free content understands that it needs to be paid for by online video advertising. Mr Estrin went on to say that although target has got better, young people are still seeing advertising and brands that are not relevant to them. "Engaging with web video allows people to be presenting brands that the right audience is happy to be engaging with," he said. "That's a huge element of the web video landscape and the need to target is key." ![]() |
