| Vimeo announces video awards finalists |

Online streaming video site Vimeo has announced the finalists of the 2020 Vimeo Awards for the Best in Creative Online Video.
The 45 finalists represent 12 different countries from around the globe and were selected from more than 6,500 entries. In the narrative category, finalists include Ben Briand for Apricot, Daniele Napolitano for Notte Sento, Arev Manoukian for Nuit Blanche and Gabriel Bisset-Smith for Thrush. Finalists in the documentary category include Eliot Rausch and Lukas Korver for Pennies Heart and Last minutes with Oden, and Henrik Hansen for Shinya Kimura @ Chabott Engineering. The finalists were picked from a distinguished panel of international judges, including MIA, David Lynch, Roman Coppola, Ted Hope, Morgan Spurlock and Lucy Walker. Ms Walker, a judge in the documentary category, said: "It was a true pleasure to serve on this jury and I feel refreshed and inspired by the creative energy of the work submitted. "Short-form documentary work is evolving and this feels like exactly where it's happening and where it's at. Let's keep it coming!" ![]() |
