Acer has announced the launch of its new Aspire RevoView HD media streamer for streaming media users.
The product comes with Digital Living Network Alliance certification and is compatible with a range of codecs - including AVI, MKV, MP4, VOB, ISO, M2TS, MP3, FLAC and OGG. It enables users to download streaming video and audio content and store it in their home. It offers an Ethernet port, USB 2.0, SD and xD connectivity and has a price tag of £119.99. The product is being launched on November 8th and is also capable of DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. Meanwhile, Dan Raywood, online news editor at SC Magazine, recently advised homeowners to ensure their networks are secure at all times. He argued that the recent scandal involving Google collecting password and personal information from users across unsecured networks in the UK has highlighted the importance of WiFi and streaming media security. ![]() |
