Aspiro has announced an agreement with a Portuguese firm to deliver streaming media solutions in the country.
The deal will see Aspiro become the prime white label music provider in Portugal for ISPs and operators, with the company offering downloadable streaming audio in the MP3 and mobile sectors. Gunnar Sellaeg, chief executive officer of Aspiro, commented: "Our flexible end-to-end capacity and competitive business model make it possible for operators to launch music services with low capex and short time-to-market. Aspiro is also presently in discussions for similar operating agreements in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The company also recently reported it has seen an increase of two-thirds in its streaming audio sales in the last quarter. The business witnessed its streaming media content sales boosted by 65 per cent and claimed the disposal of its former business segment Mobile Entertainment, along with its entry into the iPhone app market, were key catalysts to this growth. ![]() |
