Offering streaming HD services, the device has its own built-in 3.5-inch HDD unit offering three Terabytes of memory and provides connectivity to practically any technology capable of delivering streaming audio or video. Its connectivity range is excellent for tech-savvy individuals, with HDMI, component and composite video, stereo analog audio and S/PDIF optical digital audio, as well as a USB 2.0 slave port, two USB 2.0 host ports, an iPhone/iPad/iPod Dock and Ethernet 10/100 RJ-45, Softpedia reports. Elsewhere, Sling Media recently announced the impending launch of its new SlingPlayer app for iPad users. Set to retail at $29.99 (£18.84), it will allow people to remotely view live television content, as well as recorded programmes that have been downloaded and stored on the Slingbox set-top device, which is currently available. ![]() |
