Roku has added a number of new technologies to its product list to attract individuals interested in streaming media in the home.
The firm has launched Hulu Plus for live streaming video downloads, Baeblemusic - a dedicated streaming audio service for live music, concerts and exclusive content - as well as Roku HD for users looking to get high-definition streaming video in their home. Each of the products is available for under $100 (£62.57) and support wireless connectivity and maximum resolution of 1080p, Big Picture Sound reports. The top-of-the-line model the Roku XDS offers the broadest array of connection options, with HDMI, Y/Pb/Pr component video via adapter, digital optical audio and composite video with analogue stereo. Elsewhere, Roku has announced a new licensing deal to market its new set-top streaming media box. The Streaming Media Player is now available at retail outlets across the UK after the firm signed a deal with Netgear to market its products. ![]() |
