Astral Media has signed an agreement to provide streaming media services to smartphone users in the US.
Designed to enhance the experience of the firm's radio listeners, the company is working alongside Grooveworx to deliver streaming audio and video content direct to mobile phones, Digital Journal reports. Rob Farina, executive vice-president for content and platforms at Astral Radio and Orbyt Media, told the news provider: "These new mobile applications will allow us to deliver a rich digital content offering integrated with a deep social media platform." He added that the firm is thrilled to be boosting its interactive offerings in this way. Elsewhere, Basepoint Media recently announced the launch of its products in the UK. The move follows the company's expansion into the Swiss market with its new Air streaming media technology for Android and iPhone smartphones. Basepoint Media chief executive officer Jesper Bang-Olsen commented: "It's about creating business relevant concepts, delivery on time, at agreed prices and agreed quality." ![]() |
