Streaming media company Zecter has been purchased by Motorola Mobility in a bid to strengthen its position in the streaming content sector.
Zecter will now be used to improve Motorola's offering in the Android and smartphone industries, with the company providing streaming video and audio content for 3G users. Individuals will also be able to upload live content via Zecter's cloud and then be able to access this media via Apple's iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. The fine points of the deal were not disclosed by the two firms. However, it was revealed that the agreement was officially finalised today (December 29th). Meanwhile, Gerry McLaughlin of ITContractor.com recently said that there is a positive attitude being felt across the IT sector and streaming media is no exception. He claimed that the coming 12 months will see growing demand for staff and the IT sector will become one of the most burgeoning areas for employment in the UK as a result.
