It has been revealed that online registration has now opened for the Streaming Media East conference, which is taking place at the Hilton New York from May 9th to 11th 2011. Those attendees who sign up in advance for a platinum or gold pass will receive a free Roku HD streaming media device as part of the deal. Dan Rayburn, executive vice president at StreamingMedia.com, stated that new to the 2011 event will be a track devoted to HTML5 video. He said: "The idea to have a whole track dedicated to the topic was because so many people have so many questions about HTML5. It seems like a natural fit." This comes shortly after it was announced that provider of digital video tools and workflow solutions Telestream is to demonstrate its desktop video software products at the upcoming Business Video Expo, which takes place in Miami Beach next month.
