| Streaming video partnership for Samsung and LoveFilm |

Owners of Samsung Blu-Ray disc players in the UK will soon be able to have access to LoveFilm streaming video content directly via the machines.
A new app has been created for Blu-Ray users that will allow them to directly stream the latest movie releases, as well as any titles from LoveFilm's back catalogue. A representative for Samsung said: "Customers will get more variety, choice and entertainment from our innovative products." Furthermore, the company has announced plans to release more apps throughout the coming months to offer further streaming media services to users, this comes just weeks after Netflix announced it is to expand into the Asian market. Meanwhile, Amazon recently announced it is set to offer free streaming video services to its premium users. It would appear that the move has been designed to challenge market leader Netflix, with Amazon setting out to move into the sector in the coming months. Posted by Thomas Price  |
