The recent launch of the new iPad 2 from Apple could have importance for the streaming media sector, although one industry expert is unconvinced by some of its features.
According to Jeremy Horwitz, editor-in-chief of iLounge, the device could be the perfect choice for those looking to browse the web, although there are some issues that could put users off in comparison to other products that are currently available on the market. He commented: "It's a very nice follow-up to the first model, but the poor resolution of the rear camera is a particularly glaring issue, putting the iPad 2 at one comparative disadvantage relative to the iPhone 4 and rival tablets." Meanwhile, James Holland, editor of Electricpig, recently argued that the iPad 2 will be thinner, more powerful and capable of handling more data than its predecessor, meaning it could be an excellent solution for streaming video and other content. He added that developers will be able to use the new capabilities of the iPad 2 to deliver better services and applications for users in the coming months. Posted by Kevin Smith ![]() |
