LoveFilm has announced it will offer streaming video services to its customers.
The DVD distribution firm will allow people to watch movies through its WatchNow programme via Oregan Network's Onyx internet browser. Viewers will be able to access the service by installing an app for their TVs and set-top boxes. Simon Calver, chief executive officer of the firm, said its agreement with Oregan Network will enable its customers to access its streaming video service through "as many internet-connected devices as possible". He stated that this will enable it to "deliver thousands of films and TV shows to our members". In addition to Oregan Network, LoveFilm also allows viewers to access online content through its LoveFilm Player and via Sony and Samsung TV sets and the PlayStation 3 games console. This comes after Virgin Media announced its plans to launch streaming audio services for its customers as part of its plans to offer individual products. ![]() |
