ViewCast has announced plans to launch a new streaming video application at the upcoming 2011 NAB Show.
Taking place in Las Vegas on April 11th to 14th, the event is expecting upwards of 90,000 attendees and is geared towards the latest innovations in broadband and mobile content. As a result, ViewCast will be holding live demonstrations of its new streaming video tools. "The recent pace of technology innovation at ViewCast has been breathtaking to witness and the 2011 NAB Show is the perfect forum to showcase our latest breakthrough solutions," said ViewCast president and chief executive officer Dave Stoner. Elsewhere, Sony recently announced it is to venture into the streaming video sector and will be offering free services to users in the coming months. The firm's multi-platform video service Crackle will begin offering free streaming media to users in the coming months, with Hollywood films, television programmes and other online content all available for users of the service.
