Hauppauge has unveiled a new standalone device that is capable of delivering streaming media services to iPhone and iPad products.
The German company has launched Broadway, which wirelessly transmits the streaming video or audio signal to Apple devices, providing users with the ability to watch live streaming content. Ken Plotkin, president and chief executive officer of Hauppauge, said: "The ViXS XCode 4105 offered the right combination of transcoding, encoding and stream processing to enable Broadway's advanced features and functionality." He added that this device offers users a great degree of flexibility and choice, enabling them to enjoy high-quality streaming video at the touch of a screen. The business was founded in 1992 and has been working to bring TV to PC for almost the last 20 years. It has now branched out and provides encoding for mobile streaming devices, operating in countries including the US, England, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Singapore and Taiwan.
