| LOVEFiLM announces iPad launch |

Fans of streaming video and owners of Apple's iPad are set to benefit from more choice following the launch of a new application from LOVEFiLM.
The app will allow users to add titles to their DVD rental list, with features including allowing subscribers to pause, fast-forward and rewind their live movie streams on the handheld device. "LOVEFiLM on iPad is the latest step in giving film fans total control over their viewing schedule and our commitment to expanding the ways in which members can stream movies and TV series on a range of devices," commented Simon Calver, chief executive officer of LOVEFiLM. Microsoft is also set to expand its streaming video content options for users of its Xbox Live platform, with deals in the offing between itself and a number of broadcasters. The company is in talks with Comcast and Verizon Communications at present in a bid to offer additional entertainment to its Xbox 360 customers over the coming months. Posted by Emma Johnson  |
