Hybrid TV service BT Vision is expanding its offering of on-demand media content thanks to a new deal with movie studio Miramax.
The agreement will allow BT Vision Unlimited subscribers to gain instant streaming access to a selection of popular and acclaimed movies, such as Chicago, Pulp Fiction, The English Patient, The Aviator and the first three Scream films. Miramax content will be accessible in a special branded environment within the BT Vision Film Area. Marc Watson, chief executive officer for BT Vision, said: "Movies are very popular with Vision customers - they watch well over two million films on demand every month." BT Vision combines traditional broadcast services with an internet TV component, allowing users to access a wide range of streaming content, as well as offering the ability to pause and record live TV. New streaming movies that will be added to the service in February 2012 include Friends With Benefits, One Day, Real Steel and Johnny English Reborn. Posted by Thomas Price ![]() |
