Zoom in Online and Magnet Media have announced the launch of a new website that discusses streaming video technology and other new media platforms. Breaking the New News is aimed at exploring the changing nature of journalism and features an ongoing video series with leading figures in the media industry. Among the guests appearing on the streaming webisodes will be Bill Burke, the global director of Online Video Products at the Associated Press, who will give an in-depth discussion about how the AP uses online video to deliver news and content to a global audience. There will also be blog posts from a series of prominent commentators and journalists, who will give their view on new media news resources, as well as traditional media. Jay Rosen, professor of journalism at the NYU School of Journalism and Rachel Sterne, chief executive of GroundReport, are also among the panellists who will discuss the ways in which traditional media outlets are adapting to a rapidly developing new media landscape. A recent report from Web TV Enterprise found that 97 per cent of media buyers plan to increase their video advertising budgets. ![]() |
