Online streaming video site YouTube has announced the launch of a new advertising campaign to promote its new ad-supported video on demand content. The YouTube's Got TV campaign will appear on online video streaming media, as well as on newspapers and buses. YouTube will also set up an interactive display in central London to allow users to choose which type of content they want to watch. The video sharing site recently paired up with Channel 4 as part of a new move designed to make full-length video content available to YouTube viewers. Under the revenue sharing agreement with the broadcaster, web users will now be able to watch popular Channel 4 shows such as Peep Show and The F Word on YouTube. The website has secured the rights to show more than 5,000 videos in the UK, more than 4,000 of which are full-length content. YouTube has recently struck similar online video deals with the BBC, ITN and Turner broadcasting. ![]() |
