Sony has launched its new SMP-N100 streaming media centre and the product has received favourable reviews.
According to Benchmark Reviews, the centre can be slightly tricky to use but offers a wide array of features and even allows users to stream live content from popular streaming media providers, including Netflix and Hulu. It has a sleek and minimalist design, measuring 7.4 by 1.6 by 7.4-inches. The product has a memory capable of storing many hours of entertainment and can be connected to a home network, meaning users are also able to stream live content stored on their household PC. Elsewhere, Microsoft recently announced plans to break in to the streaming media sector with a host of new licensing agreements for its Xbox 360 and PC users. The company is hoping to rival the established players in the field including Apple, Netflix and Hulu, unnamed sources told Reuters. Posted by Emma Johnson ![]() |
