HP has launched its latest streaming media device for the Indian market.
The new Dream Screen 400 offers a 19-inch touch-screen monitor and enables users to download live streaming media content direct to their living rooms or any other room in the home, International Business Times reports. Director of strategy for HP India Sankar Sundaresan claimed the new product could become popular in the country and make its way into up to 50 million homes following its launch, with wireless connectivity possibly set to make it a popular choice among consumers looking for streaming media services in the months ahead. Meanwhile, Helienne Lindvall, a professional songwriter and musician, recently told the Guardian that the launch of Virgin Media's Spotify streaming media product could be some way off. She claimed that fans of streaming audio will simply have to be patient, as the negotiations to get the product launched in 2010 hit a stumbling block and are just now getting back on track.
