| Connected home showcased at streaming media event |

Set to take place later this year, a streaming media event will be showcasing the possibilities for a completely connected home, it has been revealed.
The Streaming Media Europe expo will be running from October 17th to 19th at London's Olympia Conference Centre and attendees are set to be treated to the Connected Home exhibit, where guests will be able to see the impact that streaming media solutions can have on data transfer and consumption around the home. Programme director at the show and editor of Streaming Media magazine Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen commented: "The addition of the brand new Connected Home conference completes our coverage of the online video industry, making us the only single event in Europe to examine all of these interconnected multi-channel technologies." Elsewhere, next week's CableLabs Winter Conference is set to see adaptive streaming media services launched for iPad, tablet, netbook, PC and gaming console users. Posted by Kevin Smith  |
