The annual Streaming Media East (SME) Exhibition will be showcasing the latest business models for streaming media developers this year.
Featuring more than 150 speakers, the event is being held at the Hilton New York in midtown Manhattan, New York on May 10th and 11th. Dan Rayburn, SME conference chairman and executive vice-president of StreamingMedia.com, said: "This year is even better, with the addition of innovative new offerings, including a dedicated HTML5 track, as well as a 'Broadband Device Pavilion'." The event will include tips for programmers on how to encode streaming video for HTML5 formats, the winners and losers in the sector over the last 12 months, how to build a content-based brand using social media and much more. Meanwhile, Joshua Norrid, vice-president of travel and leisure at Progress Software, recently noted that streaming media providers should embrace innovation in order to attract new users to the sector. He argued that such innovation creates opportunities for firms to break into new markets and fields. Posted by Emma Johnson ![]() |
