Streaming video firms may be interested to learn that internet services provider PlusNet has announced its entry into the business-to-business arena.
The company is set to add to its client base by attracting businesses that are presently struggling to meet the costs of their high-speed internet connections. Nick Silverwood, head of business at PlusNet, said: "Certainly in the reseller space we do not feel as though we are losing out by not offering other services, because of the benefits we can bring [in terms of] a high level of service on broadband." Michael Phillips, product director for Broadbandchoices.co.uk, recently stated that the UK continues to face a "digital divide" in terms of the areas that have access to superfast broadband services and those that are still lagging in the slow lane. He argued government funding must be increased in order to improve provision in areas that are less commercially viable for firms. Posted by Geoff Phillips ![]() |
