A new website launched next month aims to harness streaming media technology to help organisations raise funds for charity.
See the Difference goes live on March 23rd and will enable organisations to upload and share their streaming campaign videos, reports Third Sector. Following an in-depth design stage, the website is in its next stage of development and its founders hope to attract a number of charitable organisations that make use of streaming videos as part of their campaigns. Dominic Vallely, one of the founders of See the Difference, told Third Sector: "When fundraisers stop people in the street, they are interrupting their plans. "But if friends share videos about the projects they have supported, it is fitting in with what people are already doing." The website, which is already using social networking websites to increase its profile, will charge a five per cent commission on all donations made through the site. ![]() |
