Baseline StudioSystems has announced the launch of a new study that analyses the current state of professionally generated digital streaming video content.
The biannual Online Video Now research paper is aimed at giving industry figures an overview of the main contenders in video content distribution. The report is categorised into four main parts: streaming to PC, video on-demand to PC, live streaming and set-top box. Some 20 video service profiles each feature service statistics and professional analysis of platform strategy. According to the spring edition of the report, while content aggregators continue to experiment with business models and platforms, the companies most likely to thrive are the ones that are extensions of cable and satellite companies. Dan Sherlock, president of Baseline StudioSystems, said: "Baseline is pleased to offer this new report focused on the complex and evolving digital video landscape, which builds on our 20-year history of providing actionable entertainment intelligence." He added that with so many video services in the market, the report offers vital statistics to help businesses anticipate the direction of the industry. ![]() |
