Streaming media services provider Brightcove is to deliver streaming video solutions for the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
Organised by the Sundance Institute, the event will feature a live feed of all the major performances and screenings, with the show kicking off today (January 20th) and running until the end of the month. Joseph Beyer, director for digital initiatives at the Institute, said: "The mission of Sundance Institute is to discover and foster independent artists and to connect those artists with audiences, and online video continues to play an important role in helping drive awareness and interest in the festival each year. Meanwhile, research carried out by Brightcove and TubeMogul recently revealed that newspaper streaming video content was the most-consumed form of online media in the fourth quarter of 2010 with 313 million minutes. It beat broadcaster content into second place with 290 million minutes and witnessed a 51 per cent year-on-year rise in demand. Posted by Emma Johnson ![]() |
