Streaming media services provider Jigsee has announced its intention to become the first company in India to offer streaming video via mobile phones.
The company stated that streaming video is one of the fastest growing sectors in online information technology, with a 92 per cent growth in usage in the first half of last year, and as a result, it is set to bring these services to as many new markets as it can. "Our goal is to foster an environment that makes the mobile phone a great place to watch video content," commented founder of the business Ray Newal. Meanwhile, Mary Miller, director of product marketing for Logitech, recently said that Logitech is set to offer streaming media services to iPad users in the near future. She noted that the product is already available for Android, BlackBerry and other platforms, but will likely see a significant growth in its market appeal with this new announcement.
