The news coincides with StreamingMedia.com recent announcement of the winners of their Streaming Media All-Stars Awards, celebrating a decade of the industry and honouring the top 25 individuals who have been instrumental in shaping the industry globally in the last ten years. Craig Moehl, Managing Director and the only European winner stated it is with great pride that I accept this award on behalf of everyone at Groovy Gecko. It is most humbling to be nominated by our clients, suppliers and partners and then to be honoured by our peers. The last ten years have been a real roller-coaster ride and we are only just getting started. We are as enthusiastic now as we were all those years ago, just infinitely wiser!
Currently consulting is mostly concentrated in the digital agency, financial PR and event & conference management sectors, however as the benefits of Groovy Gecko's products and services becomes increasingly appreciated, organisations in other market segments are leveraging Groovy Gecko's years of experience.
Craig explained with our digital agency partners, we get involved from quite an early stage and by using our 'possible, feasible, doable' methodology, work with them to bring their innovative, technically challenging and sometimes crazy ideas to market. We become stakeholders in their clients' brands and therefore become intimate partners in the projects. Essentially we become an extension of the agency's team. In addition, we have a tremendous track record in helping them win awards for their campaigns.
Interestingly, we also have had a growing number of enquiries from US companies and venture capitalists seeking advice on

Craig Moehl, managing director of London-based streaming solutions firm Groovy Gecko, has been honoured with a place in Streaming Media Magazine's 2008 Streaming Media All-Star Team.
Carefully chosen from over 130 nominations, editors picked "the 25 people who've had the most significant impact in the field".
Mr Moehl was recognised as "a tireless leader with incredible enthusiasm for the industry".
Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, the head of the publication, explained that the list was intended to highlight current leaders in the industry, while acknowledging those who had "stuck with online video since the beginning" and made a significant contribution to its ascension.
Mr Moehl took time to reflect on the changes witnessed in the streaming industry over the last decade.
He commented: "First, the efficiency gains as a direct result of the ongoing development of codecs. Secondly, the proliferation of bandwidth (mostly broadband).
"These two factors remain the basis for the change in client demand, price, and technical delivery capabilities."
