A strong appetite exists among companies for video delivery and management as part of WAN optimisation, according to a study by Blue Coat Systems.
The company reports a 50 per cent increase in demand for corporate video delivery and management as part of enterprise content delivery networks.
This service can deliver on-demand videos to any office within a company, as well as providing live video feeds that can be monitored and regulated.
Bethany Mayer, senior vice-president of marketing at Blue Coat Systems, pointed to the popularity of YouTube and internet videos for fuelling demand for these services.
"Enterprises and organisations understand that short video segments make powerful and effective communications tools."

Many businesses now use video conferencing services, especially multi-national corporations with various headquarters based throughout the world.
