Groovy Gecko were commissioned by our partner, BroadView, to help BT in delivering a series of on-line web seminars to their business client base.

The seminars were to be sophisticated presentations, shot in a studio using television style ‘video grammar’, with a professional presenter interviewing high level BT representatives on strategic product and service offerings.

The event was expected to be extremely popular and to attract a great many viewers, both live and on-demand, so the size and strength of the Groovy Gecko Global Content Distribution Network (CDN) was essential to meet global demand.

The client required us to stream from the finish line of 3 separate 10 kilometre races to be held in 3 London parks on the same day.

Each race would consist of several thousand runners of widely varying abilities, who would be starting at different times throughout the day.

Groovy Gecko was asked by its production house partner, the Motion Picture House to help them in delivering a webcast of the Fiat 500 launch.

A live concert was being arranged to suppport the launch, including two support bands and headlined by Mika.

We would need to take video streams from two separate exhibition stands and deliver them live to a global audience.

The client, Wyeth Pharmaceutical, was invoved in ensurring the aunch of its new vaccine against pneumococcal diseses, which the Government had incorporated into the childhood immunisation programme was fully supported.

Since this was the first new addition to the process since it was launched, it was important the educational process reach as many of the relevant medical professionals as possible.

The client required us to stream a full day of the IIC (infection and immunity in children) conference and present as much of the experience of being there as possible to viewers over the web.

The event ran from 8 am until 5:30 pm and consisted of multiple presentations by different speakers, each with their own set of presentation slides, which needed to be shown on the web, synchronised with the video.

The client wished to produce a sensitive video presentation to all their staff, which meant a large, global, multi-national audience.

To accomodate this the client wished the presentation to be available with multi-language subtitling options. They also wanted to have control of the look and feel of the pages themselves, but have Groovy Gecko build them.
