Celebs Go Virtual Dating commercial sponsorships pitch

Production agency, Lime Pictures, approached Groovy Gecko to live stream their commercial pitch to various sponsors on the 12th August 2020 to secure sponshorship for the following season.

The stream was private, sent to an exclusive list of 154 viewers, with 124 attending. The stream was 1 hour 15 minutes long with the average viewer time at 54 minutes with 46 questions submitted.

Objectives.

This project was for sponsors, journalists and broadcasters to launch the new social-distanced and ‘lockdown’ version of the new series of Celebs Go Dating. The brief for Groovy Gecko was to ensure the live stream was fully branded to fit in with the content of the live stream and the web page it played on, with a fast turnaround of just 2 weeks from brief to live.

What we did.

Using our live presentation software, EckoEnterprise, as the streaming platform, we embedded it into a web page to give additional design elements and make it fit with the brand of the show that the client wanted. For the production, we implemented an emoji and question (part of REALM). Emojis were flying from the start and there were lots of questions for the Celebs and Dating agents sent in throughout the stream.

This kind of event was a challenge for our team as we had to fit in with the times available for all the contributors to onboard and rehearse. It was more of a free flowing stream held with an umbrella running order. We provided vmix for vision mixing, graphics and VT playout through the EckoEnterprise platform. We also provided hands on project management as the timescale on this event was only 2 weeks. Lime production supplied content and other assets for us to include in the design and layout to ensure the entire stream felt completely on-brand. We worked with them to make sure this was maximised at every point, from lower 3rd banners to the vmix background.

the results.

The results of this private live stream were very successful, with over 80% of their invitees tuning in and 46 questions submitted during the stream. The full stream lasted 1 hour 15 minutes with the average viewing time at 54 minutes. Celebs Go Dating were able to recieve sponsorship following this event and the team at Lime Pictures were really happy with the quality and results of the stream.
