Case StudyLive England Team stream into Facebook for Vauxhall The Brief As part of Vauxhall’s sponsorship of the England Football Team, they wanted to do a live Facebook News Feed Q&A with the players before they headed off to Brazil for the World Cup. The Challenge The webcast had to look great and be delivered flawlessly while handling a large number of questions from the audience. Our Approach Groovy Gecko developed a cutting edge platform which allows a live video player to play in the News Feed of Facebook. The player plays within a post where the viewer can ask questions, like and share the video stream and it helped Vauxhall expand its user base amongst England supporters. The three lions were asked about their world cup experience and playing for their country from fans who were watching through the Vauxhall Facebook page. By using DVR technology the viewer is able to scrub back in the live show to catch up. With the addition of server side archiving, the live stream is available immediately on demand, and post live, generating more views from those who miss the original live broadcast.
