London, UK, 13th September 2018 – Groovy Gecko, the live streaming specialist, will showcase a number of live streaming functionalities at its demo station on the Facebook Video Solutions booth (#14.C45) at IBC 2018.

Visitors to its demo station will see Facebook Live technology in action, including multi-page distribution which involves streaming the same content into multiple Facebook pages in real-time. This allows a stream to reach multiple audiences and boost viewer numbers.

Groovy Gecko will also demonstrate the interactive features which make live video so engaging, including several bespoke tools. This includes its comment moderation tool which makes it possible to review comments made on a stream. This is extremely useful for live Q&As in order to moderate appropriate questions and send them to the host’s device. The Groovy Gecko polling feature which allows Groovy Gecko to poll viewers who use the Facebook reaction buttons to vote.

The team will also be demoing the Groovy Gecko competition tool which allows clients to deliver complex live competitions through Facebook Live supporting hundreds of thousands of live players.

Jake Ward, Business Development Director, Groovy Gecko commented: “We feel very privileged to be one of only eight other video partners invited by Facebook to join its booth at IBC. Live video is becoming more and more engaging as we continue to work with Facebook to build tools that enable a further degree of interactivity. I’m really exciting to showcase live video’s full range of capabilities at IBC and look forward to welcoming visitors to our demo station.”

Being a Live Production Partner to Workplace by Facebook, Groovy Gecko will be offering visitors demonstrations of the live video capabilities of the Workplace platform, a collaboration tool for teams and organisations. The live video functionality within Workplace enables organisations and individuals to live stream to colleagues in groups or to company-wide profiles.

Groovy Gecko will be offering demonstrations throughout IBC between 14th-18th of September at booth 14.C45. To find out more about Groovy Gecko’s live streaming services, or to arrange a meeting at IBC, please contact
